OUR MISSION
Faith Families of African Descent Meeting for Marriage (FFAMM, Inc.) contributes to positive social change through education, political advocacy and counseling services which support family-building, for people of African-ancestry. We create opportunities for like-minded individuals to meet, exchange ideas and actively pursue mutual goals - the greatest of which are the preservation of religious, cultural and family values.

VILLAGE-BUILDERS INTRODUCTIONS:
We help find parenting support We recommend this service for people whose children are not yet interested in exploring the possibility of marriage. Families meet to create a network of support for each other. This service is ideal for families with children under the age of 16. |

MARRIAGE-MINDED INTRODUCTIONS:
We help find candidates for marriage We recommend this service for people whose sons/daughters are interested in exploring the possibility of marriage. This service is designed to suit the needs of families with young adults age 16 and older. While there is no upper age-limit for the Marriage-Minded Introduction service, "guardians" are expected to be involved in the process. |

FFAMM, Inc. recommends facilitated bibliotherapy for people that are not in crisis. Families and individuals in periods of transition or that are experiencing difficulties adjusting to normal life-stressors, can benefit from culturally-relevant stories, media and information resources - and discussion with a trained facilitator. Identifying with characters and stories can to help people make informed decisions, and gain insight on a specific problem. It can also help reduce perceptions of isolation.
We are pleased to offer online bibliotherapy services to our clients, through WORDS HEAL, INC., a 501(c)(3) organization. Faith-based counseling (bibliotherapy) services, using Islamic sources are available, upon request. All fees for service are paid directly-to Words Heal, Inc. |
